Mission Statement

Schererville Baseball is a voluntary, non-profit organization.

Our mission is to provide life-long learning experiences for our community’s children through the joy of baseball.

These learning experiences include good sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, friendship, physical exercise, respect, and goal achievement.

We fulfill this mission through the voluntary efforts of parents who serve on the Board of Directors, coach, umpire and assist with maintenance and concession duties.


	2012 Baseball Celebration!

Hello Everyone,

This Saturday Morning the Baseball Celebration will start off with the baseball player parade. All baseball players should come to Alex's Field in full uniform by 8:30am. Please see the diagram belown on where to line up. Once you find your team please stay by them until the parade is over. The parade will start at 9:00am. All the players will walk with their coaches from Alex's field across to the Minor field. Before entering into the Minor outfield please wait for your team and manager to be introduced. Once the music starts and your team name is said walk along the fence in the outfield and then enter into line from the 3rd base/left field line. Please keep your team together.

	2012 Baseball Celebration!

May 19 is our 2012 Baseball Celebration!

This is a day to celebrate our players by recognizing them in a player parade followed by a celebration at the fields. There will be fun things for the kids and another exciting Mega Raffle again this year!

Please have your players in full uniforms to the fields by 8:30am May 19th. They will begin the parade at 9am in Alex's Field and end in the Minor's Field. A parade line-up will go out to team parents and they along with volunteers will help direct you that morning. Please come in full uniform.

We look forward to seeing you there!!

We are taking donations for the Mega Raffle for the league baskets. Please see your team parent for more details. You can either donate a small monetary donation or an item but it is entirely voluntary. If you have any questions about raffle donations please contact: Laura Fudacz at

All Star Try Outs will be Wed May 23rd

8 year olds 5pm All 8U players are encouraged to try out. There will be tryouts for two teams. The 8U Red and the 8U Black.
9 year olds 5pm All 9U players are encouraged to try out. There will be tryouts for two teams. The 9U Red and the 9U Black.
11 year olds 5pm 11U players are encouraged to try out for the 11U Black
10 year olds 7pm All 10U players are encouraged to try out. There will be tryouts for two teams. The 10U Red and the 10U Black.
12 year olds 7pm 12U players are encouraged to try out for the 12U Black

Non-compliance of Nike Bat Model #Aero CX2-BTO636 and Marucci Bat CAT5 33-Inch Model

· Babe Ruth League, Inc. has been informed that Nike Bat Model #Aero CX2-BTO636 (light grey), CX2-BTO573 (dark grey) and CX2-BTO598 (blue) have failed recent performance standard compliance testing.
Effective immediately and until further notice, Nike Bat Model #Aero CX2-BTO636 (light grey), CX2-BTO573 (dark grey) and CX2-BTO598 (blue), including all graphic variations, is not eligible, or approved, for use in any Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken program or activity.
· The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has advised Babe Ruth League, Inc. that the BBCOR decertification process has been implemented for the Marucci CAT5 33-inch model.
Effective immediately and until further notice, this bat (Marucci CAT5 33” length) is not eligible, or approved, for use in any Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken program or activity.
